Movie name
Selecting the title for our film was a challenging but rewarding process. After much deliberation, we settled on the title "Silent Exit." This title best captures the central themes of our story—loneliness, desperation, and the silent struggle that our protagonist, Musa, endures.
The title "Silent Exit" is a reflection of Musa's inner conflict with depression, wherein he ponders on a departure from misery without disturbing the lives of other individuals. It's a lovely and contemplative title that reflects the somber mood and covert theme of the movie.
One of the other possible titles that we had in mind was "No Way Back." Although it successfully expressed hopelessness, we eventually felt that "Silent Exit" better described the emotional complexity and nuance of Musa's experience.
Coming up with a title is never easy, but "Silent Exit" was the most accurate description of our film's story and themes to us. It challenges audiences to think deeply about the struggles with mental illness that are too often hidden or unspoken.
