How Did Your Production Skills Develop Throughout the Project?

 1. Pre-Production:

Through planning, I realized the importance of thorough preparation. From listing shots to preparing equipment, I realized the methodologies of thorough preparation for a smooth filming experience. Collaborating with the crew made me learn to balance creative and practical elements of vision, i.e., delivering work within timelines and yet achieving what is imagined.

2. Filming:

Working on location, my technical capabilities were greatly developed. Using the iPhone 15 Pro Max with cinematic mode encouraged me to experiment with new artful angles and compositions to create the best visual storytelling. I also learned to deal with unexpected challenges, such as lighting limitations, by applying tools like a phone torch and sunlight. Working in tandem with the team schooled me in problem-solving and facilitated collaboration.

3. Post-Production

Post-production provided the opportunity to refine my editing skills and focus on detail. The most significant challenge was eliminating the microphones seen in some shots. I learned how to achieve this using Vegas Pro 17 with the help of my friend William. I developed an appreciation for the importance of post-production in shaping the final product and making it professional.

4. Overall Growth:

Throughout the project, I grew not only as a filmmaker but also as a storyteller. I learned more about how to utilize technical and creative resources in such a way that would express emotions and themes in the most effective way possible. Furthermore, interacting with other individuals also taught me the value of team spirit, communication, and determination in overcoming obstacles.

Lastly, the project was an educational experience that immensely enhanced my production skills to further help me with future films of higher proficiency.
