As part of our preparation for the short film project, our team had the amazing opportunity to attend a media studies workshop at Symbiosis University in the UAE. This experience not only broadened our understanding of media production but also gave us hands-on insights into the creative process behind making short films and reels. The workshop was an eye-opening opportunity to learn from industry professionals, collaborate with fellow aspiring filmmakers, and enhance our skills in various aspects of media creation.

One of the highlights of the workshop was participating in the Reel Making Competition, where we were given a specific theme and a limited time to create a short reel. Our team’s reel, titled "Me 5 Minutes Before the Deadline," was a humorous yet relatable take on the stressful and chaotic moments that often occur just before a project is due. The concept was inspired by our own experiences of racing against the clock, capturing the last-minute rush many of us have encountered. We were thrilled to have our reel recognized, and were proud to place as runners-up in the competition. 

This experience not only boosted our confidence but also taught us the importance of time management, creativity under pressure, and the value of teamwork. The skills and knowledge we gained at Symbiosis University are influencing our approach to the current project, as we aim to incorporate the lessons learned into our drama/thriller/horror short film.
